Every child deserves to dream, and we are committed to giving them the tools to achieve it.

Across Botswana, Zambia, and Zimbabwe, we champion initiatives that help children learn, grow, and step into the futures they deserve. Here’s what that looked like in 2025:

- We invested $300,810 in education programs
- We supported 1,276 learners through education initiatives
- We provided 329,940 meals through school Nutrition Programs

Today, on the International Day of the African Child, we celebrate the resilience and promise of Africa’s next generation. The future is looking bright!

Let’s continue sharing and conserving Africa, together.

Today, our herds across Botswana, Zambia, Zimbabwe, and South Africa come together for Active Day.

Each year, we set aside this day in honor of African Bush Camps Foundation and the extraordinary people who continue to create change across our environments and local communities in Southern Africa.

By running, dancing, playing, and creating together, movement becomes our tribute to everyone who shows up for this work every single day.

Here’s to the next 20 years of impact. How are you getting active for Active Day?

Joy and curiosity continue to grow at Maunga Primary School. ✨

The completion of the school’s first science laboratory marks an important step in strengthening educational opportunities in Zambia, where continuing beyond primary school has historically remained a challenge for many young people.

Developed in partnership with , this achievement reflects the power of investing in education and supporting learners with the skills and inspiration needed to imagine more for their future.

Every classroom strengthened has the potential to shape generations.

We are grateful to work alongside partners with a shared purpose: making tourism a force for good!

Two hours. That’s how long she walked every morning, just to collect water for her family. Today, she doesn’t have to.

Clean water changes everything. It means healthier children, stronger schools, and families living with greater dignity. Yet for so many remote communities across Southern Africa, it remains out of reach.

This Africa Day, we celebrate a continent of extraordinary resilience, beauty, and potential. And we are reminded, through this year’s theme, “Assuring Sustainable Water Availability and Safe Sanitation Systems,” that nurturing that potential begins with the most fundamental of needs.

The borehole installed in Ditshiping Village in Botswana now serves two water access points and reaches over 360 people.

Clean water. Lasting change. Brighter futures.

A special milestone for Maunga Clinic 💙

31-year-old mother, Purity Shabula, recently welcomed a healthy baby boy, her seventh child, at Maunga Clinic. This marks the third time she has safely delivered at the clinic, reflecting the importance of accessible maternal healthcare within the community.

Purity was also the first expectant mother to receive a scan using the clinic’s newly donated pregnancy scanner, marking another step forward in strengthening healthcare services in Maunga.

Congratulations to mom and her growing family on this joyful blessing. ✨

Heritage lives in the stories we share and the knowledge passed from one generation to the next.

With the Vuche Vuche basket weaving ladies, it is found in every strand woven by hand, in the language spoken, the laughter shared, and the quiet moments between teacher and student.

These are the threads that keep culture alive.

Endangered species like African wild dogs face increasing pressure as habitats become more fragmented.

In the Luangwa Mid Zambezi region, ABCF, in partnership with the Zambian Carnivore Program, supports large scale wild dog monitoring and research across key wildlife areas.

The 2025 survey results show:
258 wild dogs monitored
2,900 snare checks conducted
104 hours of aerial monitoring

African wild dogs are remarkable, highly social, intelligent, and essential to the balance of these ecosystems.

This International Nurses Day, our spotlight is on Ruth Zimba, the Registered Nurse in Charge at Maunga Health Center.

“I have been working in Maunga for three years. Looking back, the changes are very important. This is what progress looks like: healthier children, safer births, and a community that believes in its health center.”

With our continued support, Ruth can do what she does best: she can show up for her community every single day. We are proud to work alongside her.

Listen. That sound means it’s time to move.

For communities in Zimbabwe, human-wildlife conflict is a daily reality. Lion Guardians are changing that. By alerting communities to nearby predators, families can safely move cattle into protective bomas before lives and livelihoods are lost.

In partnership with Wildlife Conservation Action, we have supported 42 bomas, contributing to a 53% reduction in livestock predation in 2025.

A shift toward co-existence, shaped and sustained by community.
