Our Plumstead Congregation matrics came together for their annual study session.

Theses sessions aim to create a focused environment to learn, an opportunity to support one another and prepare for the journey ahead.

We are proud of each matric and pray that their hard work, dedication and commitment will bear great fruit.

May they remain motivated, confident and grounded throughout their final year.

Last night, we welcomed a visiting Rector to our congregation. CEV L. Bowers from Woodstock Congregation officiated the Wednesday evening Divine Service.

The Bible word was Exodus 3:11–12 (excerpt), with the message: God’s presence and love motivate us to remain with Him.

He detailed that God will always be with us - in the joyful moments and challenging times.

Our District Rector SH Zane Pillay visited our congregation this morning. He was accompanied by the Rectors of Claremont District.

The Bible word was John 17:20–21 (excerpt), with the message: God grants us oneness, and we do everything in our power to preserve it.

Rector of Hout Bay Heights Congregation, SH Trevor Maharage, was called to serve. He is due to retire in a fortnight and we wish him well.

A sense of festivity was moving through the rows of the congregation with beautiful musical items displayed by our orchestra, adult and children’s choir.

Following the divine service, the choir and brass rendered a powerful rendition of This is the Day.

Our Wise and Wonderful Fundraiser was a heartwarming success!

Filled with laughter, friendship and a wonderful sense of community, the fellowship brought God's children together.

Every smile, conversation and act of generosity added to the special atmosphere.

Thank you to everyone who attended, volunteered, donated and supported the event.

Last night's Divine Service was a beautiful reminder of the importance of humility.

Reflecting on Luke 18:9, Priest Durant encouraged us not to look down on others, but to approach one another with humility, grace and love, knowing that God looks at the heart.

A special highlight of the service was seeing our Young People actively involved during Dare2Care Week, leading in music, serving as doorkeepers and welcoming the congregation as ushers.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to a blessed and uplifting evening.

This past Sunday, the Plumstead Young People spent the morning leading Sunday School lessons.

Then, last night, they joined fellow Young People at Hout Bay Heights congregation as preparations gained momentum ahead of the upcoming Weekend.

Our Young People (YP) embarked on a road trip to Melkbosstrand Congregation this morning.

Before the divine service, our YP mingled with the host congregation’s YP.

After service, the group went to the local Spur to enjoy a lekker brekkie.

Before heading home, they gathered at the beach where the upcoming Dare2Care activities were announced.

The trip was a wonderful, spiritual encounter and we look forward to many more in the future.

“After His crucifixion, Jesus brought salvation to the realm of the dead.”

That was the powerful message of today’s Service for the Departed.

Based on 1 Peter 4:6, Rector SH Graham Dreyer reminded the congregation that after His death on the cross, Jesus descended into the realm of the dead and preached to those in need of help and that the Gospel and sacraments are accessible to those in the beyond.

At the conclusion of the divine service, our choir displayed a magnificent rendition of “Therefore The Redeemed of the Lord”.

Our Sunday School children kicked off their June school holidays with an exciting outing to the museum.

Although exhibition displays were limited due to maintenance, the children thoroughly enjoyed exploring the available galleries.

The Company's Garden was next for outdoor fun and thereafter, food was served to fill their rumbling tummies.
