We celebrated International Nurses' Day at Woodside this week. Without nurses and carers life would grind to a halt. The life blood of our Centre and our Nation, we give thanks to those who care relentlessly.

Waterproof sheets are one of the most vital supplies for a residential care centre. They keep mattresses dry and clean, protecting everyone's dignity and quality of life. Because of frequent washing they often have to be replaced. Eighty people live at Woodside, and we therefore need at least 160 sheets (2 per person) and 320 pillow cases (4 per person) to ensure every resident has what they need. We have a great supplier who sells them to us at a much lower price than retail, so please consider donating so that we can buy them directly. Alternatively, you're welcome to get in touch if you would rather donate the items directly.

We have some very lovely, very busy boys and young men at Woodside Special Care Centre. We'd like to make a special activity room for them which they could access at any point in the day, whenever they want to play.
