Dear Community,

Following several consultations with veterinarians and other relevant stakeholders, we unfortunately have to postpone the Horse Outreach due to concerns around the “Bek en Klou” (Foot and Mouth Disease) outbreak. A new date will be announced soon. Although horses are not direct carriers, we want to take every precaution to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our beloved horses. 🐎

Your horse depends on you to keep them safe in extreme heat. 🌞🐎
With temperatures expected to soar this week, the Mamre Equestrian Club urges all members to take extra precautions to protect their horses from heat stress.

Please ensure your horses have constant access to fresh water, adequate shade, and cooling when needed. Try to avoid riding during the hottest parts of the day and keep an eye out for signs of overheating such as excessive sweating, rapid breathing, or lethargy.

Let’s work together to keep our horses healthy and safe during this heatwave.
If you notice any signs of heat stress, act immediately.

We Feeling incredibly blessed after today’s Mamre Equestrian Club beach team building event! There’s something truly special about bringing our equestrian family together outside the arena - the beach provided the perfect backdrop for strengthening friendships, building trust with our horses, and creating bonds that go beyond riding. ➡️ Riding in the open fields with my friend Julian — the breeze in my hair and the sun on my skin made everything feel perfect. But when it was time to stop, the horse wouldn’t slow down. Feeling like Superwoman, I jumped off… and landed on my head instead 😅

Even funnier — Julian rushed to help the horse before checking on me! Despite everything, it’s still my favourite riding memory: thrilling, ridiculous, and genuinely funny.

➡️ One morning I caught my horse in the kitchen, eating my freshly baked bread right next to the cup of tea I had just made! I couldn’t even be angry; I just laughed and tried to guide him back outside.
