Minimum requirements:
• • Matric with 1 year relevant experience

Key Performance Areas:
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
• Assisting compiling an inventory of museum collections including addressing problems identified during previous inventory processes
• Compiling electronic database in MS Excel according to prescribed provincial template
• Integrating information from documents relating to the collections in an MS Excel database
• Updating the database as necessary
• Assisting with preventive conservation process and general housekeeping related to collections
• Assisting with packing and moving the collection.
• Assisting with the installation of small exhibitions.
• Submitting monthly reports.
Competencies/skills:
• Computer Proficiency (MS Office, especially MS Excel)
• Communication skills (verbal and written)
• Proficiency in English and at least one additional official language of the Western Cape (Afrikaans or isiXhosa)
• Attention to detail, accuracy & ability to solve problems

• Assisting with financial reporting
• Knowledge of Pastel and accounting systems
• Handling sensitive information with honesty and integrity.
• Assist with minute taking during meetings
• Handling of stock taking and cashing up

The formal qualification for this position is Grade 12 qualification.
Note: This post is aimed at youth development so the candidates must be between the age of 18 and 35 years.
The following will serve as recommended skills / competencies:
• Knowledge and experience in cleaning inside and outside buildings
• Basic knowledge and experience of basic maintenance
•Basic knowledge on how to operate cleaning tools
• Conversant in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape.
Key Performance Areas:
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
• Delivery of service at the SA Sendinggestig Museum
● ensure that the museum’s buildings are always clean and neat.
● assisting with the museum’s general maintenance and cleaning
Remuneration: R162 – 194 per day. The remuneration is based on the EPWP framework. The successful candidate will also receive structured training as part of their contract appointment.

Heritage and Tourism: Designer for Marketing/Campaign
Materials and Tourism Infrastructure.

A relevant B-degree or experience working in museums will be an advantage
Preference will be given to applicants must be between the ages of 18-35 years.

Key Performance Areas:
The successful candidate will assist the design of marketing/campaign materials and tourism infrastructure
 Assist with graphic design of social media posts
 Assist with management of social media account related to campaigns
 Assist with video editing
 Assist with the maintenance and continued development of the campaign websites and related online material
 Assist with exhibition design to improve tourism infrastructure at museums.
