✨ Farewell & Thank You ✨

Today we say a heartfelt goodbye to our 2nd block OT students, Rebecca and Pumulo. 💙

What a pleasure it has been having you with us at Autism Connect!

Thank you for the love, patience, creativity, and gentle care you showed to each of our learners and young adults. From therapy sessions to play, laughter, and those small special moments in between — you left a little piece of your heart here with us.

We have seen such beautiful growth and connection during your time with us, and we are so grateful for the energy and passion you brought to our centre every single day.

We are so proud of you both and wish you nothing but success, joy, and fulfillment as you continue your journey to becoming amazing Occupational Therapists. The future is bright with therapists like you in it!

You will always have a family here at Autism Connect. Please come and visit us again soon.

With lots of love and gratitude,

The Autism Connect Family

✨ GRATITUDE POST ✨

A very big THANK YOU to Momentum Group! 👟💙

Yesterday we were blessed to receive a generous donation of shoes from the Momentum Group, and our hearts are so full.

A special thank you to Ms Sono, Programme Specialist at Momentum, for choosing Autism Connect as the recipient of this amazing donation. Your kindness and belief in our young adults means the world to us.

This donation does so much more than provide shoes — it helps stock our Young Adult Thrift Store with beautiful new items and creates a meaningful opportunity for our young adults to practice and showcase their business management, customer service, and entrepreneurship skills.

Every pair sold helps us continue our work, and empowers our young adults with purpose and pride.

🛍️ Come support our Thrift Store!
📍 Open every Tuesday & Thursday
We have lovely clothing, crockery, beadwork, and now shoes for sale at amazing prices.

Shout out to Mr Tyler Ripepi Nicolette Wendy Ripepi for joining us yesterday!

Thank you Momentum Group and Ms Sono for walking this journey with us — literally! 👟

🎾 A New Chapter Begins Today | Love Serving Autism SA 🎾

Today is a big day for Autism Connect 💙

We are so proud to share that Autism Connect has been afforded the incredible opportunity to be part of the international tennis organisation “Love Serving Autism” pilot programme — officially kicking off for the very first time in South Africa!

16 of our attendees from both our _Early Learning Centre_ and _Skills & Coaching Centre_ will begin a 6-week programme focused on using sport to build confidence, coordination, social connection, and pure joy.

This is more than tennis. It’s about inclusion, movement, teamwork, and showing our young people that they belong on every court and in every community.

A huge congratulations to our 3 amazing volunteer tennis support staff who have completed the official _Love Serving Autism_ volunteer certificate course:
Moeneeb Gilbert, Nicolette Ripepi, and Ronelle Frempong 👏
Your dedication and heart are already making a difference.

To our learners and young adults starting today — we can’t wait to cheer you on, celebrate every serve, every rally, and every smile.

Here’s to new skills, new friendships, and new possibilities.
Let’s play 💛

Early Learning Centre | Week Wrap-Up: 11 - 14 August 2026 💙✨

What a beautiful week it’s been with our little stars!

A week of growth, connection, and new beginnings:

1. OT Feedback Sessions
Our OT feedback sessions have been in full swing this week. A heartfelt thank you to every parent who attended, showed up, and partnered with us in supporting your child’s journey. Your involvement makes all the difference

2. New Partnership Announcement 🎾
We are so grateful to have formed a partnership with the Love Autism Tennis Group! Some of our Early Learning Centre learners will be joining their 6-session tennis pilot project. We can’t wait to watch them build skills, confidence, and have so much fun on the court.

3. Creativity, Birthdays & Goodbyes
We ended the week with a splash of color on Graffiti Day, hosted by Teacher Teressa Kayser and her team. The walls came alive with imagination and joy!
And with both happy tears and proud hearts, we said goodbye to Imibongo as he heads off to big school. We are cheering you on, Imibongo. You will be so missed, and we know you’re going to shine. We also celebrated the birthday of one of our little ones, Lubambo. Happy birthday!✨

Thank you to our families, therapists, and team for making this week so special.

Here’s to more growth, more play, and more memories next week.

The Autism Connect Early Learning Centre Team
