Mothers Unite is a registered non-profit organization that focuses on the well-being of children. An area predominantly characterized by unemployment, poverty, domestic violence, HIV/AIDS, substance addiction and gang-related crime. Our goal is to meet the needs of children in a holistic manner through interventions and projects guided by mothers within the community. Besides from Mothers Unite, t

here are very few services that cater to the needs of children and their families in the immediate area. Consequently, Mothers Unite has a real passion to be a positive alternative to children in the community. We understand that mothers play a huge part in the lives of our children as many mothers raise their children single handedly amidst many challenges. Mothers Unite wants to help children achieve their potential and make a difference in their lives. The children we work with are disadvantaged and vulnerable, restrained by poverty, crime, gangsterism and drugs. If we as parents, our organization, and the community at large can provide a medium whereby children can explore, express and showcase themselves, we will help them grow and work towards dreams and goals they believe in. We are helping them explore their potential. We are the voice and ambassadors of the children. We want to educate, encourage, and feed our children!

We would like to prepare more of our plant boxes we received from FoodForward SA as we're growing our garden in these boxes. We are unfortunately limited to progress as we need more compost. If there's anyone that can assist us so we can fill our boxes as well as seedlings, it will be greatly appreciated. We will be able to teach our children more about gardening and it will certainly influence their home life and their future.

We would like to thank one of our parents that assisted us with compost as well as seedlings, we greatly appreciate all donations we receive. We would also like to thank Nutri Humus for donating a few bags towards our "Nurture Through Nature" Project we have with our children. Good day everyone
So we had a beautiful busy start to our year. We hope everyone had a blessed and safe festive season. May this year bring us unlimited blessings and prosperity.
Just a few pictures of what we've been busy with. Our Nuture Through Nature ECD project is doing very well. The children are very active and curious and is interacting well with their peers. Here's to many healthy meals and fun while we're learning.

This year certainly had its challenges, however it also had its blessings. Reconnecting children to mother nature and have them experience so many different challenges as well as getting to overcome it. We learned so much and is so grateful that all our children are healthy and they all progressed to the next grade. We are extremely proud of all of you.

Our Early Childhood Learning Centre has developed beautifully and our little nature warriors is growing leaps and bounds by the day. Here's to a safe, prosperous and blessed festive season.
