Violets Rugby is proud to announce our coaching team appointments!

Dear Violets Patriots

We are pleased to announce the following coaching appointments for the upcoming season:

*First Team*

Head Coach : Uzair Saban
Backs Coach : Ashieq Wise
Forwards Coach : Nathier Cassiem

*U20s*

Coaches : Dayann Dramat & Mogammad Mustapha Ismail
Manager : Aqeel Salie

*2nd Team*

Coaches : Siraj Khan & Achmat Davids

*3rd Team*

Coaches : Faizel Vardy & Shafiek Baker

*Head of Rugby Coaching:*

Uzair Saban

A talented young coach with experience at the Stormers, Western Province Rugby, and the Varsity Cup. Uzair Saban is also the backline coach at Bishops. We're honoured to support his growth and share this opportunity with him.

*Forwards Coach:*

Natheer Kassiem

Bringing a wealth of knowledge in community rugby, Natheers' expertise in forward skills and analytical acumen will be invaluable to our team.

*Club Captain:*

Faizel Vardy

A true Violets stalwart, Faizal brings a unique blend of playing, coaching, and leadership experience. We're proud to have him maintain our club's culture and values over the next three to five years.

*Club Coaches’ Mentor*

Ashieq Wise

We welcome Coach Ashieq to a 5-year appointment as Club Coaches’ Mentor. In this role, Ashieq will work closely with all coaches, providing mentorship, guidance, and direction to ensure consistency and long-term growth within the club’s coaching and rugby playing structures.

We wish our appointees all the best for the upcoming season and beyond!
