Lusanda Creations Community: Don't blow your 1st Term this Easter! πŸ“šπŸš«

To all our valued beneficiaries and youth, stay focused! Don’t let Tik (Crystal M**h) or drugs steal your future. Tik destroys your brain and your ability to focusβ€”it is a trap, not a high. ⚠️

Schools reopen next week (8 April), so spend this Saturday "camping" on your books instead of the streets. Let’s enjoy the break, stay sober, and stay sharp! β›ΊπŸ“–

SCHOOL’S OUT, BUT OUR VALUES STAY IN! πŸ“šπŸ’ͺ

As we head into the Easter Weekend, Lusanda Creations has a challenge for our 100+ members from Mnxe, Tsengiwe, Bathandwa Ndondo, Silingela, Cala Village and New Horizon.

✨ The Easter "Booked In" Challenge:
Stay Safe: Avoid the "hotspots".
Stay Drug-Free: Remember the lessons we learned in Term 1 about Peer Pressure and Substance Abuse.
Read Daily: Spend at least 30 minutes with a book.

Consent Check: Parents, use this Easter to sign the Parental Consent Forms for the Term 2 Workshops!

We are moving from Awareness to Leadership. When we return on Tuesday, 7 April, we want to hear your stories of how you led by example this Easter.

Today, as we commemorate Human Rights Day, I am reminded that the "Right to Education" is directly threatened by the scourge of substance abuse in our communities.

Through Lusanda Creations, I am project managing a strategic intervention for urban and rural learners in Cala. Our mission is to reclaim their future through literacy and health awareness.

This week’s milestones:
πŸ”Ή Facilitated digital literacy workshops for our Ndondo Square urban group at the Cala Public Library.
πŸ”Ή Advocated for the "Digital Right" of every learner to access free information and technology.
πŸ”Ή Strengthened stakeholder relations to ensure a safe, drug-free learning environment.

Human Rights are not just words on paper; they are the actions we take to empower our youth today.

Exciting news from Ndondo Square! πŸ“πŸ“š

Tomorrow, our new Grade 6 learners are having their very first Library Book Check-up. After activating their library cards, they took home books to dive into some big topics: Peer Pressure, Drugs & Health, and Human Rights. βš–οΈπŸ›‘οΈ

I’m doing my homework right alongside themβ€”let’s learn and grow together! ✍️

Remember: Fridays are Library days to stay away from drugs. πŸš«πŸ’Š

Choosing a book at Ndondo Square is choosing a brighter future! 🌟

12/03/2026

The movement is growing!

Activating MORE learners for their first library cardsβ€”all from Ndondo Square! πŸ™οΈπŸ”₯ These kids are right in the center of town, where drug exposure is high.

By getting their cards, they are choosing a Safe Haven over the streets.

A huge welcome to our new stars:
Ntandokazi Silayi ; Mihlali Bam; Olunje Mapasa; Sinekamva Mani; Simnikiwe Ntamo; Sikhumbule Mangaliso and Thandazwa Diko.

We are counting down to National Library Week (16 - 20 March).

Let’s protect our youth! πŸ“šπŸ›‘οΈ
