Today, my heart is overflowing with gratitude. 💚🍀

First and foremost, thank You, Lord, for absolutely everything.

To our AWE community my family, friends, colleagues, learners, parents and every single person in our community.

Your support has been heartwarming and reminded me that there are still so many people with beautiful hearts.

Every donation, every item given, every purchase made, every encouraging word, every prayer, every share, every message and every person who showed up and supported us has helped bring this vision to life.

Thank you to everyone who supported our thrift sale yesterday. Without you, none of this would be possible.

You may not always see the impact of what you do, but know that it is reaching further than you realise.

Together, we are creating something beautiful. Not just an event, but a moment of love, dignity, appreciation and joy for grandparents who have given so much and continue to show up for their families/ Grandchildren every single day.

Because of YOU, we are one step closer to giving our grandparents the beautiful day they deserve.

NO DONATION IS TOO SMALL.🍀💚

On 31 October, we want to celebrate the grandparents who have stepped up to care for their grandchildren when circumstances beyond their control have required them to become parents all over again. This day is about them making them feel seen, valued, appreciated and truly treated like the Kings and Queens they are. 🍀💚

Our dream is to spoil them with a beautiful 3-course meal, an essential care pack, special treats and a day filled with love, dignity and celebration.

If you would like to support the event on the 31st, your contribution big or small will help us make this royal celebration possible.

📌 SAVE THE DATE! 📌

Please join us on 3 October 2026 at the Spring Ahead Market and come support a beautiful cause.

AWE (Amplifying Women EmpowHERment) will have a store at the event, where we’ll be selling pre-loved and donated goods to raise funds for our upcoming initiative to honour and bless grandparents who are raising their grandchildren due to circumstances beyond their control.

We are also collecting good-quality pre-loved items and donations for our thrift store.

Every contribution, purchase and share brings us closer to showing these incredible grandparents that we see them, appreciate them and honour all that they do. ❤️

Good afternoon AWE family

I hope that you all are well. 💚🍀

Today, We are reaching out with a heartfelt request.

We are collecting good quality second hand clothing for our September Thrift Sale.

When you donate, you're not simply giving away clothes you are investing in a cause that restores dignity, celebrates love, and reminds our elderly that they are seen, valued, and deeply appreciated.

Every rand raised from our thrift sale will go towards our Grandparents' Day Celebration on 31 October.

Together, we will create a day filled with joy, honour, laughter, and precious memories for the grandparents in our community who have given so much of themselves throughout their lives.

If you have clothing, shoes, or accessories in good condition, please consider donating them.

All donations can be handed directly to me.

What a beautiful afternoon spent in the company of strong, resilient women, women who carry both grace and grit. Our heart was to create a sacred, safe space where stories could be shared, testimonies honored, and healing conversations welcomed. And what unfolded was nothing short of beautiful.

There is something powerful about women gathering with intention , walls come down, courage rises, and hope is renewed.

We are reminded of Proverbs 10:22:
“The blessing of the Lord makes rich, and He adds no sorrow with it.”
