🚨 OUR BOWLS ARE EMPTY 🚨

The noise fades. The loneliness doesn't. 💔

When there's a visitor, the shelter erupts - tails wagging, barks echoing, every dog begging to be noticed. But turn the corner when no one's watching, and it's a different story. The silence is heavier. The cries are quieter. And so much lonelier.

These dogs aren't just waiting for a walk or a treat. They're waiting for someone to come back for them.

They don't deserve to be alone. 🐾

Adopt, don't shop. Contact our adoptions manager, Chantel on [email protected] or via WhatsApp on 060 709 2694.

Your home could be the reason the shelter gets a little quieter, for all the right reasons.

It is with incredibly heavy hearts that we share the passing of our dear Mzo. 💔

For over 14 years, Mzo was the steady, beating heart of the Mdzananda family. It is so difficult to imagine our clinic without him.

He started his journey with us as a theatre assistant, quietly preparing patients and using his natural, "dog whispering" gift to put anxious and aggressive animals completely at ease. Within moments of speaking softly to them, a dog that was fearful or difficult to handle would relax completely, trusting him instantly so we could care for them without trauma or struggle.

Later, as a driver and field worker, Mzo took that incredible gift out into the community, handling call-outs, ambulance cases, and mobile clinics where his gentle touch meant everything. Whenever a difficult case came in, everyone knew to call Mzo.

Beyond his extraordinary skill, Mzo was simply a beautiful human being. He was a very kind, gentle soul with a great sense of humour, deeply considerate, and loved by everyone who crossed his path. He truly never had enemies.

His passing has left a massive hole in our clinic. We will miss him not only as a brilliant colleague who was unmatched at what he did, but as a good friend.

Our hearts and deepest condolences go out to his family and loved ones during this heartbreaking time.
Lala ngoxolo, Mzo. 🕊️❤️

HELP US PROTECT OUR ANIMALS FROM THE SPREAD OF DISEASE

At Mdzananda Animal Clinic, we see parvo, lepto and distemper on a daily basis. With so many sick and vulnerable animals coming through our doors, biosecurity is extremely important to us.

Unfortunately, our electric fogger has broken and cannot be repaired.

This machine is an important part of keeping our clinic clean and reducing the risk of cross-contamination. It allows us to disinfect larger areas efficiently, including our cages and treatment areas, without having to remove animals from the room during the cleaning process.

We want to ensure that our cages and clinic areas remain as clean and safe as possible for every animal that comes through our doors.

The cost is R4500. Any donation, big or small, is appreciated.
