Great news! We are excited to announce a partnership with the Edgard and Cooper Foundation. This amazing partner will be sponsoring medication and consumables to treat the sick and injured patients in our consulting rooms, hospital and theatre. This grant comes at the perfect time as we are seeing more and more animals daily showing an increased need for our services and a more educated pet community.

The flames took her fur. They couldn't take her spirit.

Back in January, a devastating fire tore through Khayelitsha and left Whiskey with severe burn wounds down the left side of her body. For 7 months, our team has cared for her, treated her, and watched her fight to heal.

Today, Whiskey is almost fully healed - and ready for a family to call her own.

At Mdzananda, we don't give up on animals, no matter how long the road to healing is.

Athena came into this world fending for herself, and yet somehow, she still has the softest heart. This beautiful brindle baby girl just wants to be loved - and once you're in her world, she'll want ALL your attention (a patient sibling who doesn't mind sharing the spotlight would be perfect for her).

Because of the rough start she had, Athena can be a little protective over her food. It's nothing a safe, quiet eating spot and some gentle patience won't fix - she just needs to learn that in her new home, there will always be enough. 💛
