Benjamin Projects South Africa is a Not For Profit (NPO) organization registered in 2021 but started it's informal operations in 2014.

A mentorship through sports program focusing on cricket and based in Cape Town, within the South Peninsula region. Benjamin Projects is a mentorship through sports programme that’s objective is two-fold. Firstly, in our MENTORSHIP 8one8 programme, to mentor a minimum of 20 boys from grade 3 to matric who start their school career at Heathfield Primary then progress to various feeder high schools. These young men show a definite gifting with regards to their sporting abilities. We offer holistic support during the formative years and walk alongside parents and guardians creating opportunities for the boys to grow into the potential that lies within them. Secondly as part of our SCHOOL,S project deliver the CRICKET WITH CHARACTER(CWC) life skills programme to create the environment for children to participate, play ,progress and become proficient in the game of cricket..

What a tournament for our Benjamin Projects U13 boys!

We are incredibly proud to celebrate our boys as the winners of the JP21 Friendship Series Tournament!

Throughout the tournament, the boys showed discipline, commitment, teamwork and determination. They stayed focused, backed each other, competed with purpose and, most importantly, represented themselves, their school and Benjamin Projects with character and pride.

Every match was an opportunity to learn, grow and challenge themselves — and the boys continued to step up when it mattered most.

This victory is about more than lifting a trophy. It is about seeing young people believe in themselves, trust the process and understand what can be achieved through commitment and hard work.

Congratulations, boys! You earned this one!

A huge thank you to the @ JP21 Foundation for creating an environment where young cricketers can compete, connect and grow through the game.

One Day. One Child. One Moment.

What a few days it has been!

Our boys Saige, Yakeen, Maya and Alpha took on the challenge of the U13 WPYCA Festival Trials, battling through intense heat, strong winds and long days on the cricket field.

More than just trials, these few days were an opportunity for our boys to step up, compete, express themselves and measure their growth against some of the best young cricketers in the region.

We are incredibly encouraged by the confidence, determination and resilience they displayed. Each one has travelled a different journey, but all four continue to show what is possible when young people are given opportunity, consistent coaching and someone who believes in them.

A special mention to Alpha, who has only had a season and a half of school and club cricket. To see his development and willingness to compete at this level is a powerful reminder that talent can emerge quickly when opportunity meets commitment.

Well done, boys! We are proud of you.

One Day. One Child. One Moment.

September starts with a new chapter for cricket at Heathfield Primary

As the month of September begins, we celebrate an exciting milestone in the continued development of cricket at Heathfield Primary School — the completion of our new 5-lane cricket net facility, made possible through the incredible support of Rotary Club Constantia and Springfield Convent School

With the growth of our Cricket with Character programme and the incredible enthusiasm shown by our young people towards cricket, these five lanes open up so many opportunities for development, practice and progression.

More space means more learners can train.
More practice means more opportunities to improve.
Better facilities mean a safer and more structured environment to learn.

But this is about more than cricket.

Closing the gaps means creating a proper and safe environment where young people can truly grow.

It means giving our children access to the same opportunities to develop their skills, build confidence, learn discipline and discover their potential.

From a space that once represented what was missing, we are creating something that represents what is possible.

We are grateful to Rotary Constantia for investing in our children, our school and our vision.

This is what legacy looks like.

One Day. One Child. One Moment.

We are incredibly grateful and proud to share that Saige, Connor, and Miguel have each been awarded academic scholarships to attend Rondebosch Boys' High School and Wynberg Boys' High School in 2027

Their scholarships are not only a recognition of their academic potential but also a testament to the support of their families, teachers, coaches, mentors, and the wider community who have invested in their journey.

As they prepare to enter this exciting new chapter, we celebrate the young men they have become and look forward to seeing the impact they will make in the years ahead.

We remain committed to creating opportunities and walking alongside young people as they pursue their dreams and unlock their potential. Success is not achieved overnight, but through daily dedication to their academics, personal growth, and character development.
