So important - mental health and physical well-being are so closely linked. The world is full of so many stressors: relationships, financial worries, and violence in the community. It is a normal response for this to effect our mental wellness. Just as we sometimes need a bit of help or medication for our body, it’s just as important to sometimes seek help for your mental health - your emotional heart and soul.

🌟 A story of hope and advocacy

This little guy lives in an orphanage. A kind-hearted woman who formed a bond with him noticed something worrying; he couldn’t breathe properly while sleeping. This affects not just rest, but brain development, growth, and overall health.

With public hospital appointments months away, she took action and advocated for him publicly, raising awareness and calling for help.

Hope Hear was able to help facilitate his surgery, which took place today; thanks to an incredible organisation that covered the costs.

We’re so grateful to have played a small part in this journey. It’s a reminder that individual action can spark real change, and that when we work together, we can change lives, one child at a time.

In case you missed it... We’re thrilled to share some game-changing news from Paarl Hospital’s ENT Department!

Thanks to the incredible generosity of , a local business with a big heart, HOPE Hear facilitated the donation of specialist ENT equipment worth R400,000, including a mobile microscope and vital surgical tools.

This technology will transform outreach-based surgery, helping children in rural communities who need urgent hearing care.
