Sometimes the biggest lessons come from the smallest creatures... and yes, sometimes they start with a pile of poo! 🪲
Just look at how the Timbavati Foundation brought the WILD HEARTS dung beetle lesson to life through their Nature Navigators program. Inspiring curiosity, laughter, and a love for nature - one dung beetle at a time!

This Mandela Month, the Tenthouse Structures team once again supported MASICORP’s school feeding initiative by collecting non-perishable food items for children in Masiphumelele.

This marks our second year supporting this important initiative, following on from our previous contribution of sanitary towels to support young girls in the community. We are incredibly grateful to our staff members who continue to embrace the spirit of Ubuntu and give generously to make a difference.

Through small acts of kindness and collective action, we can help support healthier communities and brighter futures for children.

Thank you to Masicorp for the opportunity to contribute to such meaningful work in our community. 💙

Happy 2nd Birthday, Kai! 🐆🎉

Last week we had the privilege of celebrating two years of everyone’s favourite leopard cub, Kai, with the CapeNature Cubs Club. From laughter and games to birthday treats, it was a wonderful morning filled with joy and a shared love for nature.

Thank you to CapeNature and the Learning & Awareness Team for the kind invitation. Congratulations on creating such a special initiative that inspires young children to connect with and care for our natural world.

We are grateful for the opportunity for our Made Better Together Foundation WILD HEARTS resources to support CapeNature’s environmental education efforts with younger learners.

Here’s to many more wild adventures, Kai! 💚🌿

This morning we had the privilege of delivering our Mandela Day Preschool Packs, consisting of 40 laminated emergent maths activities, to three local Deep South preschools serving underserved communities. 💚
A heartfelt thank you to the Tenthouse Structures team who generously gave their time to cut, laminate and prepare these resources, helping turn a simple idea into meaningful learning opportunities for young children.
These reusable learning activities will benefit approximately 200 children this year and, because they are laminated, will continue to support learning for many years to come.
We can’t wait to see these activities spark curiosity, build confidence and bring joyful learning experiences to the children in the weeks ahead.

This week, Made Better Together Foundation celebrates two years since our official launch on Mandela Day 2024.
While our Foundation is turning two, our journey of creating meaningful change began more than four years ago with a simple belief: that together, we can make the world a little better.
Since then, we've partnered with incredible organisations, empowered educators, inspired thousands of young environmental champions through WILD HEARTS, and worked alongside communities who remind us every day why this work matters.
Thank you to every partner, educator, volunteer, donor and supporter who has been part of our journey. You have helped turn an idea into lasting impact.

This Mandela Day, we're once again sharing one of our favourite FREE WILD HEARTS Environmental Education resources – our colourful Ice-Cream Stick Activity Pack!

With just a printer, laminator, scissors, and a packet of colourful ice-cream sticks, you can create a beautiful educational resource for a preschool in your community.

These simple activities help young children develop:

🌈 Shape recognition
🌈 Counting and early numeracy
🌈 Fine motor skills
