Charlie Vanrenen U.C.T. Rugby Scholarship The Charles Vanrenen Scholarship - Set up in memory of Charlie who tragically lost his life in Bali in 2002. We support talented rugby players through UCT.

The Charlie Vanrenen U.C.T. Rugby Scholarship is for South African citizens only. The Scholarship covers everything for a school leaver to attend a three-year degree course at the University of Cape Town. The only provisions being that the young man must be a good rugby player and want to play for U.C.T; have the right qualifications and a great desire to further his education. Lastly he would be

unable to attend university due to financial problems. Our grateful thanks go to Jamie Inglis (Charlie's Godfather) who donated the legacy he had left Charlie in his will, to the Scholarship. John Le Roux who has donated his personal services, setting up and running the trust for us. He also helps us choose the three students for the scholarship at U.C.T , for which we are extremely grateful. He continues to help in every respect including choosing our future scholars.
