Olunje is a registered not-for-profit, organisation dedicated to fighting substance abuse and AIDS, and empowering youth in the arts through pop culture, a non-profit that seeks to empower underprivileged youth to be strong citizens and citizens of the world. Since its inception in 2014, our vision for the next 20 years has been to get over 250 artists, producers and directors to contribute to ove

r 20 compilation albums, television programs and media events to raise donations totalling more than 40 million rands for HIV/ AIDS relief and awareness and enable youth in the arts in Africa by equipping them with resources needed to succeed in their endeavours. The foundation includes programs dedicated to leadership development & empowerment, educational development, creative expression, as well as a book club. MISSION
Olunje is a not-for-profit production company that plans to produce 10 albums and raise more than 20 million rands in the next 10 years to worthy projects & organizations, causes and pro-social projects around Africa. Its mission is to raise awareness and money to fight AIDS/HIV and related health and social issues, as well as enable & empower youth in the arts by giving them wings to fly and reach for the sky.Olunje Foundation is more of a creative production company than a traditional charitable organization. Overhead is kept to a minimum and production focused on making innovative projects that target hard to reach audiences by using popular culture and artful propaganda. Revenues from these projects are given to traditional charities & to up and coming artists for their projects, often in collaboration with the artists who have contributed their music or art. "What is significant is our fund raising does not compete with local AIDS service organizations. We tap basically new money, and that's very important. โ€œFurthermore, the contracts Olunje foundation signs with artists guarantees that at least 70% of the profits generated from the album sales will be earmarked for AIDS efforts & empower upcoming artists.
