Good morning, this is a general call to any community minded individuals in the spread area between Mowbray across to Camps Bay - the Dept of Health is looking for Health Committee members living in the City area and using the public health services. It is voluntary 4- year appointment with the only refund available for transport costs to attend the monthly meeting. This is not a members services complaints forum but engagement for the x7 facilities in this CBD cluster area, facility management to hear from the community and to also spread whatever health related issues back to the community. Please DM me directly for more info and the application form. You do need to be nominated by any recognised community group you may belong to. Nomination applications need to be submitted by the 15th July if possible and there's a maximum of 12 community members needed. Should you possibly know of anyone - I will be grateful if you spread the word. Thanks in advance....

Hi all, members of the WRA met with DAG this past week - further to the Earl St / 'Al Noor' / Community centre. We need to start discussing the way forward with the City and DAG have offered to be the intermediary. We need your input, questions, thoughts and suggestions around all of the social housing issues so we can collate the issues to start this very important dialogue for Woodstock seeing there have been many broken promises for the past decade. Please would you, if you have something to contribute, join the discussion group here on WhatsApp - we would appreciate comments by tomorrow - Sunday evening - so we can work on the submission next week.

Sad news on the passing of Mr Tahir Levy - 'the Mayor of Woodstock' seen here at the launch on the back of the bakkie - what a special man and a loss to the community for all the amazing assistance he gave to so many in D6, Woodstock and Salt River. Our Mayor will be deeply missed
