ACVV Head Office: Child Protection / Kinderbeskerming We have social work offices and CYCC's in the Western, Eastern and Northern Cape provinces of South Africa. We follow a trauma-informed model of service.

The ACVV is a designated child protection organisation as stipulated in the Children's Act, and with a specific focus on children under 18 years old and their families. Our services include the full scope of protection services for children from prevention & early intervention to statutory intervention, care and reintegration.

In a joint operation between SAPS and the FBI, a 16-year-old boy was arrested in Malmesbury yesterday. The suspect is linked to violent online networks commonly referred to as โ€œ764โ€. The โ€œ764โ€ networks are violent international online extremist networks associated with child exploitation. They target, blackmail, and coerce children into producing explicit abuse material, self-harm, and animal cruelty. He will appear in the Malmesbury court today.

What is the "764" Network? Core Actions: Forces minors into online sexual abuse, animal mutilation, and acts of violence using digital blackmail. They operate as a hierarchical online cult where members gain status through escalating acts of sa**sm and real-world brutality.

Well done on achieving this judgement to ensure safer schools. It has been over 15 years since the promulgation of the Childrenโ€™s Act, and it has taken a court to affirm and mandate these departments to comply with the legislative obligations as it relates to the Nat. Child Protection Register.

This is only the start as more action is needed to ensure a proper, effective Child Protection Register.

The judgment strengthens accountability and requires key government institutions to improve vetting and reporting systems to protect children from people found unsuitable to work with them.
