GIRL GUIDES South Africa - 1st Bergvliet Brownie Pack

GIRL GUIDES South Africa - 1st Bergvliet Brownie Pack 1st Bergvliet Brownies is open to girls aged 7 to 10 in the Bergvliet, Kirstenhof and Meadowridge suburbs of Cape Town, South Africa.

Meetings take place during public school terms and include leadership and lifeskills, environmental awareness and crafts. Brownies is a junior section of Girl Guides which is the largest volunteer led organisation for girls and women in the world. At Brownies we aim to teach the girls through games with a point, learn about the environment and how we can contribute to it, enjoy the outdoors by cam

ping and hiking, as well as learn important life and leadership skills.

1st Bergvliet Brownie Pack is a traditional Pack where we hold weekly ceremonies, complete clauses to progress in our Adventure and Level Badges and the Brownies are encouraged to earn Interest badges and supported in their efforts to do so. Inspection is held weekly and the Brownies are held to a high standard. The Brownies are also encouraged and supported in earning their Golden Hand and we have a very successful rate of Top Award achievers. Based on Juliana Horatia Ewing's "The Brownies and other stories" all Brownies follow the words of the wise Owl. Led by Brown Owl, the Pack is dedicated to enriching the lives of girls aged 7 to 10 through outdoor adventure, valuable life and leadership skills, and raising awareness of the world they live in.

🐣🌿 Happy Easter from our Girl Guides family! 🌿🐣

Wishing all our Guides, leaders, and families a joyful Easter weekend! May it be filled with adventure, laughter, a few sweet treats 🍫 and plenty of time spent outdoors enjoying the beautiful world around us.

For many, Easter is a time of hope, renewal, and reflection β€” values that fit perfectly with the spirit of Guiding. As Guides, we are reminded to always do our best, help others, and care for the world we share. πŸ’šπŸŒ

Whether you're exploring nature, sharing time with family, or hunting for Easter eggs, we hope your weekend is filled with friendship, kindness, and a little bit of Guide magic. ✨

Happy Easter everyone! 🐰🌼
