Today we honoured an invitation to participate in ‘s inaugural Uplift Day, a gathering that brings together a diverse network of partners, and organisations committed to creating meaningful impact across South Africa.

As a longstanding partner of , through the Creative Club programme, we were proud to share our mission on how music and creative education guided by wellbeing continue to create pathways to opportunity for young people in underserved communities. Through the Social Impact Expo and panel discussions, we had the opportunity connect with fellow organisations, demonstrating the power of collaborative action.

A PATHWAY TO GLOBAL OPPORTUNITY

Three .academy alumni have been selected for the Beyond North South exchange programme in Norway 🇳🇴

A six-month, fully funded placement in creative production and event management.

They’ve now completed their first month in Tromsø after completing pre-departure training in Johannesburg.

From Langa to Norway, expanding access, skills and global experience.

A powerful step in bridging opportunity between the Global North and South.

As we begin Youth Month, we’re reminded of the challenges facing millions of young South Africans as they work to build their futures.

Statistics South Africa reports that youth unemployment remains more than double that of adults, while 61% of unemployed youth have no previous work experience. These figures highlight the barriers many young people face when trying to access opportunities and participate meaningfully in the economy. (Statistics South Africa)

Bridges For Music is proud to be an official charity partner of the Sanlam , using the power of movement and community to help empower the next generation through creative education and industry access.

A few local runners, creatives and entrepreneurs are taking on the marathon to help make a difference through fundraising in aid of .academy. Follow the link in bio to support the runners and learn more.

Alongside the marathon weekend activations, our alumni DJs will be bringing music and energy to different points across the route.

Known for blending sound, spirituality and storytelling, Damian is set to share insights from his journey across dancefloors worldwide, offering a rare opportunity to connect with him deeper and be inspired.

Through our partnership with , we’re seeing real pathways open up for young creatives in the Creative Club. From hands-on industry exposure to meaningful connections across corporate communities in the Western Cape.

A standout moment was for our students to meet Cape Town Mayor .hill.lewis following a Stella performance which left a powerful reminder of what visibility and belief can unlock.
