We asked two of our on-trial members to reflect on their very first Cape of GoodHope District - Wesley Guild District Fellowship Weekend, and this is what Sister Made and Sister Mlumbi shared 🤍💙💛
Our Fellowship & Mission Weekend was truly a beautiful and fulfilling experience filled with praise, worship, laughter, growth, and meaningful connections. Throughout the weekend, we had the opportunity to bond as Wesley Guild brothers and sisters through sports, indigenous games, fundraising activities, cultural exchange, singing, dancing, and moments of deep spiritual reflection.
Each day carried its own atmosphere and purpose from the relaxed and interactive activities on Saturday to the powerful spiritual moments shared during Sunday service. The weekend reminded us that the four C’s of the Wesley Guild are not just principles we speak about, but values we actively live out:
✨ Comradeship in the friendships and bonds formed
✨ Creativity in the activities and presentations
✨ Community Development in serving and supporting one another
✨ Consecration in our worship and spiritual fellowship
Although tiring at times (and yes, many of us lost our voices from all the singing 😭), it was equally rewarding. We sang, danced, prayed, performed, laughed, cried, and grew together as one family in Christ.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who made the weekend possible and to all who attended and contributed to making it such a special experience. We look forward to many more fellowship weekends together. One Heart, One Way💙
