I’m not “anti-vax” but what happened during COVID was immoral and authoritarian. Individuals who rejected the vaccine were ostracised, demonised & ridiculed. Many were dismissed by their employers for refusing the vaccine. Those workers must be re-instated with backpay, knowing what we know now about the risk & dangers(which were suppressed & never shared) of an experimental vaccine, forced down our throats as a society.
As a worker leader, I can never personally condone or endorse that (even if it was 6yrs ago) which in the greater scheme of things is more like 6HRS ago(6yrs is nothing) but again we have short memories & prefer to move on.
How easily we forget those who passed away during a period where they were forced to come to work during a lockdown when their work could easily have been done from home. That hurts the most. No one is saying they contracted the virus during their commute to work or even at work but no one is saying they didn’t (no one can) why were workers even forced to take that risk when it wasn’t necessary.
Today you laugh & joke with the very managers who made the decision to force those, who are now passed away, to come to work. Cowardice is satanic.
