当財団と姉妹団体 May Peace Prevail On Earth Internationalは、大阪・関西万博のテーマ「いのち輝く未来社会のデザイン」に共鳴し、共によりよい未来を目指す個人・企業・団体と連携しながら、未来の平和のあり方を考え、平和への願いを形にするセレモニーやトークセッションを万博期間中に開催します。

8月22日(金)のライブ配信では、そのうちの「World Peace Flag Ceremony（ワールド・ピース・フラッグ・セレモニー）」をお届けします。

このセレモニーは、国、民族、宗教、思想などあらゆる違いを超えて、世界各国の国旗を掲げながらその国の平和を祈る参加型の伝統ある平和イベントです。1986年にロサンゼルスで初開催されて以来、国連本部やユネスコなどでも実施されてきました。

今回のイベントでは、ハミングによる音楽、日本舞踊、Peace Pole Craft紹介、世界の若者からのピースメッセージ動画など、多様な演出を通じて、参加者一人ひとりの心をつなぎ、世界に平和への思いを届けます。

本イベントは、オンライン（YouTube）で、どなたでもご参加いただけます。事前に参加登録いただいた方には、最新情報などをご案内します。
