🕋 WHAT IS BA'DAL UMRAH?

Ba'dal Umrah means performing Umrah on behalf of another person — either a loved one who has passed away, or someone who is permanently unable to perform Umrah themselves due to old age or illness.

It is a beautiful act of worship and a meaningful way to honour our loved ones, while making du'aa and seeking Allah's ﷻ mercy and reward for them.

A person performing Ba'dal Umrah should have already completed their own Umrah.

🤍 JUMU'AH REMINDER

May Allah ﷻ accept every sincere act of worship, shower our departed loved ones with His mercy, and grant those who long to visit the Haramain the opportunity to do so.

Thursday Feeding Scheme – Highlight of the Week 🍛❤️

Every week, iCare Children’s Foundation supports various community kitchens with their cooking — including our own — helping ensure that warm, nourishing meals reach families and individuals in need.

This week, we shine the spotlight on Nazeem from the Heideveld area, who prepared a lekker pot of dhal curry with tender mutton pieces and potatoes, served with rice for our community today. And to make the meal even sweeter, everyone enjoyed delicious plain doughnuts for dessert! 🍩

A heartfelt Shukraan to Nazeem for his efforts, and to all our generous sponsors and donors who make our Feeding Scheme possible. May Allah SWT reward you all in abundance, grant you the best of both worlds, and accept your contributions. 🤲🏼❤️

Wednesday Bread Donations 🍞❤️

Every Tuesday and Wednesday, iCare Children’s Foundation distributes bread to various communities, helping families access a simple but meaningful source of nourishment.

This week, we shine the spotlight on Aunty Amina from Statice Heights, who turned the donated bread into sandwiches with polony and shared them with families in her neighbourhood helping ensure that community members have at least one filling meal a day. 🤲

A heartfelt Shukraan to Aunty Amina and to everyone who contributed, donated and played a part in making this initiative possible. Your support helps us continue reaching communities in need. ❤️

May Allah ﷻ fill our homes with barakah, our hearts with peace, and our lives with the light of faith. May He grant us the honour of being among those who love, follow, and are reunited with Rasulullah ﷺ in Jannatul Firdaus.

Today, we want to introduce you to iCare Children’s Foundation. ❤️

We are a community-driven NPO committed to supporting vulnerable children, families and communities through practical assistance, compassion and care. From feeding programmes and safe-home support to education initiatives, winter drives and community outreach, our work is guided by one simple belief: every person deserves to feel cared for, valued and remembered.

But iCare is more than the projects we run. It is the volunteers who give their time, the donors who give what they can, the communities who welcome us, and every person who believes that a small act of kindness can make a meaningful difference.

Jumu'ah is a day of mercy, du'aa and reflection. It is also a reminder that our love and care for others can continue through acts of worship.

Ba'dal Umrah is the beautiful act of performing Umrah on behalf of a loved one who has passed away, or someone who is unable to perform it themselves due to permanent illness or old age. It is a meaningful way to honour them while seeking Allah's mercy and reward.

May Allah ﷻ accept the worship of every pilgrim, forgive our loved ones, and grant us all the opportunity to visit His Sacred House. Ameen.

Despite every challenge, Abu-bakr continues to smile and inspire everyone around him. His family is doing everything they can, but the financial burden of his medical journey is overwhelming.
