Understanding GBV starts with awareness.

Gender-Based Violence can affect anyone, and knowing the signs, understanding your rights, and knowing where to seek help can make a difference.

Let’s educate, speak up, support survivors, and work together towards safer communities. GBV is never the victim’s fault.

An afternoon of awareness, connection and empowerment.

What an incredible afternoon it was as the Community Intervention Centre (CIC) took our GBV awareness message into the community at SAPS Table View.

We had the opportunity to meet and engage with members of the community visiting the station, educating them about Gender-Based Violence (GBV), their rights, and the important steps to take when applying for a protection order. Knowledge can be the first step towards safety, and we are committed to ensuring that people know where to turn and what to do when they need help.

A heartfelt thank you to the Kolisi Foundation for your continued generosity and support. Your ongoing provision of Power2You Packs allows us to extend practical care and encouragement to the patrons we engage with during our outreach initiatives.

Together, we are creating awareness, empowering communities and reminding survivors that they are not alone.

Speak up. Know your rights. Seek help. Break the silence.

Education is a powerful tool in the fight against GBV.

On Friday, CIC had the privilege of engaging with a group of women in an important workshop focused on Gender-Based Violence (GBV). We created a safe space for meaningful conversations, sharing knowledge about recognising abuse, understanding rights, accessing support and speaking up against violence.

Together, we continue to build a community where women are informed, empowered and supported.

Every woman deserves to feel safe. Every woman has a voice. Every woman deserves support.

Standing Together Against GBV

We joined hands with SAPS Table View for an important community awareness session aimed at educating and empowering the community about Gender-Based Violence (GBV).

SAPS shared valuable information on protection orders, including who can apply, where to go, and the steps to take when seeking protection from abuse. Knowledge is power, and knowing your rights can help save lives.

A special thank you to the Kolisi Foundation for the generous Power 2 You Packs, which we were able to hand over to community members we engaged with during the outreach. Your continued support helps us bring care, dignity and hope directly to those who need it most.

Together, through education, support and collective action, we can build safer communities and stand stronger against GBV.

Speak up. Know your rights. Seek help. Stand together.

Every woman has a voice. Every woman deserves to be heard. 💜

Whether she speaks loudly or in a whisper, her story matters. Her experiences matter. Her dreams, choices and opinions matter.

This Women’s Month, let’s create spaces where women feel safe to speak, be heard, and stand up for themselves and others. When women have a voice, communities become stronger.

Listen. Support. Empower. Amplify.
Because every woman deserves to have a voice, and the freedom to use it.
