In the context of John 10, Jesus is speaking as the Good Shepherd. Sheep are safe, fed, guided, and protected when they stay close to the Shepherd.

The abundant life is not found in pursuing things; it is found in knowing the Shepherd.

As Peter discovered in Luke 5, the greatest blessing was not the full nets of fish—it was encountering Jesus. The One who filled the nets was worth more than the nets.

Reflection
Ask yourself:
What has the enemy been trying to steal from me lately?
Am I merely existing, or am I walking in the life Christ purchased for me?
Am I pursuing the blessings of God more than the presence of God?

A Clean Heart for a New Week

"If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me." — Psalm 66:18

As we step into a new week, many of us are asking God for favor, provision, direction, open doors, and breakthrough. But before we ask God to change our circumstances, we should allow Him to search our hearts.

A new week is a good time to lay down every hidden thing before the Lord. Not because God is looking for reasons to reject us, but because He desires genuine fellowship with us.

Before chasing opportunities, seek purity.
Before pursuing success, pursue obedience.
Before asking God to bless your plans, ask Him to align your heart.

May this week begin with honest repentance, renewed devotion, and a heart fully surrendered to God. When our hearts are open before Him, we can walk confidently knowing that He hears our prayers and guides our steps.
