Communities become stronger, healthier and more connected when there is access to opportunities that support their mental and physical wellbeing.

Tomorrow teams from Shawco’s mobile Mom & Baby Clinic, Sisanda FunDaytion and ILOVEBOOBIES are creating that space where children, youth and families can play, move, talk with others, and access medical healthcare and support.🌱🤝

Whether families live in peri-urban areas, informal settlements or busy urban communities, strong family connections help build trust, belonging and support. 💛

Our Community Play Days 🎉 facilitated by Sisanda FunDaytion Youth Play Ambassadors, are an opportunity for parents, children and neighbours to connect through play, laughter😄 and shared moments🤝 in a safe space right in the heart of their own community.

Stress levels go down. Laughter comes back. Relationships grow stronger.

Right now 60 families in the Gugulethu, Nyanga and Manenburg communities are encouraged by 30 Sisanda Youth Play Ambassadors during the 8 week Play@Home programme to add simple moments of play to help create calmer, happier spaces for children and adults to thrive. 🌱✨

🌿Nature. Connection. Joy. 💚

We are deeply grateful for the time, energy and support that made our Nature Buddies Fun Day so special — creating lasting memories with 40 children (ages 7–12) from Gugulethu, Nyanga and Manenberg at Greenpoint Urban Park.

From the early morning bus ride to discovering tiny treasures through magnifying glasses, the day was filled with curiosity, laughter and care. 🌱🔍

A standout moment? Watching our Youth Play Ambassadors step up as powerful role models — especially young men showing up for younger boys from their own communities.

Did you know? Just 5 minutes of walking in nature improves mood, self-esteem, and relaxation.

So we are most grateful to our Fundi friends for inviting a group of our Youth Play Ambassadors along for a morning of outdoor rambling.

Sharing one's experiences has its benefits too - the Youth Play Ambassadors are ready to share a few interesting insights and facts about their recent nature walk with peers and the 40 children they'll be engaging with at our upcoming Nature Buddy Fun Day.
