❤️ HONESTY BEHIND THE WHEEL ❤️

Sometimes the smallest acts of kindness make the biggest difference.

Recently, Siyanga lost his cochlear implant sound processor while travelling in a taxi from Mitchells Plain to Delft. For many people, it may look like a small electronic device, but for Siyanga it is so much more than that. It is a vital part of how he hears, communicates, works, and connects with the world around him.

After realising it was missing, Siyanga desperately tried to retrace his steps and locate the taxi driver. Fearing it may be lost forever, he continued searching for a way to make contact.

What happened next is a reminder that there are still incredibly honest and caring people in our communities.

The taxi driver had found the cochlear implant sound processor in his vehicle and carefully kept it safe. Once contact was made, he informed Siyanga that the device had been found and ensured it could be returned to its rightful owner.

For someone who relies on a cochlear implant, losing a sound processor can have a significant impact on daily life. Thanks to the driver’s honesty, Siyanga was reunited with a device that helps him access sound and stay connected to those around him.

In a world where negative stories often make the headlines, this story reminds us that kindness, integrity, and compassion still exist.

A heartfelt thank you to this taxi driver for choosing to do the right thing. Your honesty did more than return a device; it restored peace of mind, hope, and a connection to the sounds of everyday life.

Not all heroes wear capes. Sometimes they drive taxis. 🚖❤️

“The First Sound” 💕

A tiny hand,
a curious gaze,
a quiet world she’s known for days…

Or months, or years,
so soft, so still,
a silent space she learned to fill.

Then in a moment, small yet wide,
a switch is turned… the world replies.

A blink, a pause,
a searching face,
as sound begins to find its place.

A mother’s voice,
a laugh, a tone,
a rhythm she has never known.

Is it wonder?
Is it fear?
Is it magic reaching her ear?

A step between
the hush and noise,
the very first hello to voice.

And in her eyes,
a spark, a light…
a world unfolding, soft and bright.

Not just a sound,
but something more…
a door unlocked,
an open door.

And though it’s new,
and strange, and deep,
it’s hers to hold,
it’s hers to keep.

A little girl,
so brave, so strong…
just heard the start
of her own song. ✨✨✨💫
