In both seasons of coming and going, we see God’s hand at work. As new missionaries go out, and others come home, we know that God uses each term for His purposes. Currently, AIM Southern Africa Region has sent out workers to more than 10 countries across Africa and beyond 🛣️🌍

Compelled by Christ’s love (2 Cor 5:14), we love, pray for, and proclaim the gospel to Africa’s unreached peoples. Our sufficiency, hope, and ministry flow from our relationship with Christ. We serve by His grace and strength and submit to His will.

This month's Missions Book Recommendation is Fire in my Bones by Dick Anderson. Our director, Tshepang Basupi, shares: “This book details the pioneering work of AIM and especially highlights AIM’s ministry efforts in East and Central Africa. Dick shows the practical cost of taking the gospel into places where Christ is not known. It is raw, honest, full of hardships, risks, loads of uncertainty, and yet a deep dependence on God. It shows how God works over time, often slowly, and maybe painfully, but shows his deep faithfulness. What stands out for me is the obedience of ordinary men and women, stepping out in faith, trusting God in situations that seemed impossible and the amazing stories of God’s answer to those steps of obedience. For me the book is a reminder of the cost and the privilege of this calling. It reminds me that this work requires endurance, not just passion.”

Business as Mission (BAM) is a missions approach that uses a real, sustainable business as a platform to address spiritual needs, hand in hand with social, economic and environmental needs. It can be a powerful witness in a community closed to the gospel. One of our BAM workers asked us to pray for their team, saying "May they be so inclined to work with integrity and love and proclamation that the name of Jesus becomes associated with honest, beneficial and successful business people."

“I will be back” – it is music to the ears of our missionaries in the Islands, where the gospel is little-known and often falls on rocky ground.
🤍Our missionaries shared: "A lady who loves to read came to our bookshop and left armed with a number of books, promising to return. We spent quite a long time speaking to her and encouraging her in her situation."
Moments like this remind us that a conversation, a book, a kind word, and an open door can all become part of God drawing someone closer to Himself. Please pray for this lady, and for many more like her, that seeds planted would take root and grow.

Comment the region you are from e.g. Gaborone, Botswana... and be connected with someone from our team to discuss how your church can partner to reach those who have not heard the good news of Jesus. Long before someone steps onto the mission field, God is already at work through a church community that prays, disciples, encourages, and sends➡️➡️➡️➡️

In Luke 8:1-3 as Jesus brought the good news across cities and villages, “The twelve were with him, and also some women... who provided for them out of their means." 🤍Out of their love for Jesus, these women gave what they had to support the spread of the gospel.
