The launch of our book. many author's wrote about their experiences and formed this book. I always ask Allah/God what are the reasons for the directions his taking me. I never really wanted to write about my journey as I need another life time to write about it but yes, I tried to best describe my journey in this short paragraph and I wanted my husband to hold the certificate as he forms part of the success. Without support it is extremely challenging, but when your loved one's walk with you, then it becomes easier to tackle any challenge. I want to thank our dedicated team for all they do serving other's as alone we cannot do it. Together we are breaking barriers and building hope as we leave no one behind that is the beauty of services rendered to those in need. We thank all our Partners and Donors for journeying with us in order to bring the changes we wish to see in the world

It’s been an unpredictable and tumultuous few weeks, we’ve been mending what needs mending, seeing to what’s high priority, caring for what needs attention and battling the storms, literally and figuratively.

Keep praying, sowing, cheering, supporting and following our journey, every little bit contributes to the bigger picture and greater cause.

This Freedom Day Week, we proudly united with Capricorn Primary School to engage and inspire young minds around the meaning of freedom in South Africa.

Through meaningful discussions and interactive engagement, we encouraged learners to understand their rights and the importance of the freedoms we celebrate as a nation. It was a powerful opportunity to reflect on our shared history, while equipping the next generation with knowledge and a sense of responsibility to uphold these values.

Together, we celebrated not just a day, but the ongoing journey toward unity, equality, and dignity for all.

A Celebration of Hope: Community Care Clinic Opens in Vrygrond

Today marked a joyful and momentous occasion in Vrygrond as Where Rainbows Meet proudly celebrated the official opening of its Community Care Clinic, an important step forward in bringing accessible healthcare to the heart of the community.

Made possible through the generous support of the Giving Light Foundation, and under the leadership of Mymoena Scholtz (Director) and Kyle Luke Cupido (Project Manager), this milestone was not only the launch of a facility, but the celebration of a shared vision to uplift and care for the people of Vrygrond.

The Community Care Clinic was founded by Ellen Van Meerten and Michelle Van Tongerloo, supported by Hillhouse Clinics whose passion and commitment to community healthcare have helped turn this vision into a reality.

The event was filled with excitement and pride as community members, partners, and stakeholders gathered to witness this special moment. The launch was attended by Councillor Mandy Marr and officially opened by the Minister of Health and Wellness, Mireille Wenger.

This new clinic will significantly reduce the need for residents to travel long distances to hospitals for basic healthcare services. It is fully equipped with a doctor, nurse, medication dispensing services, and a qualified sister who will also provide training in Basic Health Worker Education and Mother and Baby Care to 20 community members, further strengthening healthcare capacity within the community.

While today we celebrate this incredible achievement, the vision continues. The clinic will focus on providing care for chronic patients, primary healthcare, family planning, and immunisation, with plans to expand its services in the future.

This opening is more than just a milestone, it is a celebration of hope, dignity, and a healthier future for Vrygrond.

So much happening in the world. So much happening at the organization and our team continues to bring about changes to the communities we serve. It is tough when no one sees the value of the soft skills, but we see the change we do by our early intervention programs. Keeping our children safe and off the streets. Teaching them about the value if life through our fun and inter active activities. During the holiday program we kept more than 300 children busy from the early hrs of the morning till the afternoon where they are provided with three meals and a snack and juice, water, good food, a sandwich and loads of Easter eggs. We thank all our Partners near and far for the continued support. Whether you just drop off your donations or quietly deposit every month, this keeps us going. No we have not find long standing companies in Cape Town that is not afraid to invest in our organization those millions, but we have found millions of individuals that believes in our strive for a better and brighter society. Your regular support allows us to continue being a beacon of Hope to our vulnerable communities. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for never giving up being our 🌈 of Hope. We know that the future is not clear and that we all face tremendous challenges, but imagine what the people endure in these areas they make their home. Our children do not asked alot, but a little sunshine in their lives through our support and programs we offer, and they dont realize the impact they have on us as an organization and us as individuals. We thank our communities for trusting us as an organization and we continue committing ourselves to work hard and bring the changes we wish to see in a world full of crime. We will be the shield of every child in our communities. We thank our youth group called Generation For Change together with our Youth Co-Ordinator for once again ensuring that no harm came to our children during the short break. We also thank the Muizenberg police for spending one day with the team ensuring the children' safety and the safety of our team. It was a great blessing to the children to see how the police interacted with them creating safe space and addressing the crime making them aware of the dangers out there. Together we are stronger.
