NICRO Bushbuckridge Community Outreach

NICRO Bushbuckridge attended an event at the Thulamahashe Constituency Office, alongside representatives from Swartfontein Treatment Centre, DOH, SAPS and local NPO Adonai.

NICRO shared information on Gender-Based Violence (GBV) and highlighted our services for perpetrators of GBV referred by the courts, supporting accountability, rehabilitation and positive behavioural change.

Happy Birthday to our favourite CEO, Betzi Pierce!

Today, we celebrate not just an incredible CEO, but a supervisor, a mediator, an advocate, a mentor and, above all, a soft place to fall.

Leading an organisation like NICRO takes vision, resilience and an extraordinary amount of dedication. But leading a team the way Betzi does takes something even more special: genuine care, compassion, love and many, many, MANY buckets of patience.

Through the darkest and most challenging times, she has never let her team down. She has stood firmly behind us, creating the space and support we need to do what we do best. Knowing she has our backs allows us to show up every day and give our best to the people and communities we serve.

From steering NICRO through difficult times, navigating change and embracing innovation to always putting people at the heart of leadership, Betzi has helped define what it means to lead an NGO with both strength and heart.
And, of course, all of this comes with an unfailing sense of humour, because sometimes laughter is exactly what gets us through.
