πΏπ΅πΈ Hike For Palestine - 9 August 2026 π΅πΈπΏ
South Africans know what it means to live under a system of segregation and oppression. Our apartheid system was formally implemented in 1948 and came to an end with South Africa's first democratic elections in 1994. For 46 years, generations fought, sacrificed and stood together until freedom was achieved.
Today, many people see parallels between that history and the ongoing experiences of Palestinians. While South Africans were able to celebrate the end of apartheid in 1994, Palestinians are still striving for the same rights to freedom, dignity and self-determination.
This Sunday, we invite you to join us for a hike in solidarity. Every step is a reminder that justice is not only something we speak about, it is something we stand and walk for together.
*Whether you're an experienced hiker or this is your first trail, everyone is welcome.*

Let us honour the legacy of those who struggled for South Africa's freedom by continuing to stand for the rights and dignity of people everywhere.
As Nelson Mandela reminded us:
*"We know too well that our freedom is incomplete without the freedom of the Palestinians."*
Walk the Talk. Hike with Purpose. Stand for Justice.
See you on the trail. π΅πΈπΏπ¦
