As it warms up, the bees are starting to move and groove, looking for new places to set up home.

I have been tagged in a few local bee posts and spoke to a lot of people today about bees.

The reality is that I am out of bee removals for, at the very least , the next 18 months.

I went in for a scheduled back op to fuse my L5 and S1, but one of the screws pinched my peroneal nerve, and I developed a drop foot. A second operation was necessary to release the nerve and reposition the screws.

This wasn't the plan, and it's been a devestating physical and emotional setback.

I am in active rehab for the drop foot, currently wearing an AFO to correct my gait, and try to stop the muscle atrophy in my calf.

I am devestated to be 'off' the bee removals for a while, but I have to prioritise getting back on my feet... literally.

I am very lucky to have amazing support from my husband and son, family, friends, and my mentor.

Please feel free to tag me, and I will always be willing to offer advice and refer to someone in your area through our beekeeper networks.

I'll 🐝 back as soon as I can!
