The State Capture Commission recommended that Mosebenzi Zwane be investigated and prosecuted for his role in state capture.

Despite this, he was later appointed to chair Parliament’s Portfolio Committee on Transport, where he failed to act on extensive evidence of corruption and mismanagement at PRASA.

In 2022, lodged an ethics complaint against Zwane. Parliament dismissed it. We took the matter to court.

Lifts out of service. No ramps. No alternatives.
For wheelchair users and people with mobility disabilities, a broken lift at a train station is not just an inconvenience, it means being completely left behind.
On this Global Accessibility Awareness Day (GAAD), we are calling for inclusion at our train stations as public spaces that are supposed to be used by everyone.
Disability access is a HUMAN RIGHT not a privilege. :
📌 Section 10 of the Constitution of South Africa guarantees everyone the right to dignity and the right to have that dignity respected and protected. Being stranded at a station because a lift is broken is a violation of that dignity.
📌 PEPUDA (The Promotion of Equality and Prevention of Unfair Discrimination Act) prohibits unfair discrimination on the basis of disability. Inaccessible public infrastructure is discrimination.
📌 The South African National Land Transport Act places an obligation on transport authorities to ensure that public transport is accessible to persons with disabilities.
These are not suggestions. They are the law.

Billions were looted from PRASA. Trains collapsed. Commuters were forced to spend three times more just to get to work, to school, to their lives.
Joe Maswanganyi served as Minister of Transport during a critical period of this collapse. He weakened PRASA’s board. He blocked corruption investigations. He knew about the R79 million stolen in the Swifambo deal and did nothing.
The Ethics Committee eventually found that he “failed to act in accordance with the public trust placed in him.”
His punishment? A two month suspension.
Today, he chairs the Standing Committee on Finance overseeing the very public money he failed to protect.

Joe Maswanganyi — Unaccountable

Parliament found that Joe Maswanganyi had failed to act “in accordance with the public trust placed in him” during PRASA’s collapse. Thus found GUILTY of contravening the code of conduct for Members of Parliament.

His punishment?
Less than two months suspension.

Today, he still serves in Parliament - as Chairperson of Parliament’s Standing Committee on Finance.

The public paid with years of destruction.
He paid with two months.

🚨 UNFINISHED BUSINESS: Dipuo Peters 🚨

She paid nearly R190, 000 to after losing her court challenge. But that's only a fraction of what South Africans lost.

During Dipuo Peters' time as Minister of Transport, PRASA was being hollowed out- through corruption, political interference, and catastrophic mismanagement.

🚆 Billions of rands were lost.
🚉 Our rail system collapsed.
👥 Ordinary people paid the price.

When Parliament failed to act, took them to court.

The result?
Dipuo Peters was found guilty of breaching Parliament's Code of Conduct and suspended.

But here's the twist:

Today, she's back in government - serving as Speaker of the Sol Plaatjie Municipal Council.

So we ask again:
❓ When does accountability actually begin?
❓ Who keeps paying for corruption?
❓ And should those found guilty of misconduct still hold public office?
