Learning for life, not just the classroom 📚

Our in-school Life Skills programming, aligned with the CAPS curriculum, equips learners with more than academic knowledge.

We help children develop:
✨ Emotional intelligence
✨ Healthy decision-making
✨ Confidence and resilience

These are the tools they need to navigate real life—and build a brighter future.

Strong beginnings shape strong futures 💛

Every child’s journey begins long before their first day at school.

Through our Family Strengthening's First 1000 Days programming and work with Early Childhood Centers (ECD's) Living Hope equips caregivers with practical skills, support, and guidance to nurture healthy, thriving children.

We hoping to help build strong foundations—physically, emotionally, and relationally—so that children can grow into resilient individuals.

Because when we invest early, we change the trajectory of a life.

Behind every life touched at our Sub-Acute Hospital or in homes by our Community Health Care Team are many extraordinary women — caregivers whose compassion changes lives.

When caring for clients in need, these women reflect the heart of what it means to be a mother: love in action.

This May, let’s honor moms everywhere by joining hands to strengthen families and communities.

✨ You can be part of this story of hope.

👉 Whether through giving, partnering, or praying, you can stand with our nurses, caregivers and support staff as they bring hope and healing to families

Honoring the mothers who carry communities 👵💛

Last week our Eastern Cape staff got to celebrate our Gogos—grandmothers in the Eastern Cape communities where we serve, who have stepped in as caregivers, nurturing and raising the next generation.

Their wisdom, resilience, and sacrificial love hold families together in the face of hardship.

They are not only caregivers—they are pillars of strength, shaping lives and sustaining hope in their communities.

🌿 We honour you. We thank you. We celebrate you.

Celebrating the strength of mothers from the very beginning 🤱

This May, we honor the incredible women in our First 1000 Days program—moms who are nurturing new life while navigating the challenges of early motherhood. Through support, encouragement, and practical skills from our Family Strengthening team, these moms are building strong foundations for their babies—laying the groundwork for healthy, thriving futures.

Their love, courage, and commitment are shaping the next generation.

🚨 URGENT DISASTER APPEAL:
WESTERN CAPE AND EASTERN CAPE STORMS

Living Hope’s Community Response teams are already present on the ground—making a difference, bringing hope, and breaking despair in the communities that we serve, Masiphumelele, Capricorn, Vrygrond, Overcome, Redhill, and Oceanview, WC and in the Greater Buffalo City Area in the EC.

The Western Cape and Eastern Cape are currently facing severe Level 8 and 6 storm conditions, with torrential rain, gale-force winds, flooding, and potential mudslides. Thousands of residents have already experienced significant roof damage and flooding, leaving many families vulnerable and displaced. In addition, Living Hope’s Agricultural Training Programme has sustained major damage, with 120km/h wind gusts destroying tunnels.

Our teams are actively assessing and assisting affected communities, but with more rain and strong winds expected, the need is urgent and growing.
