Thank You, Bay Academy🤝

SakhisizweYDP would like to extend our sincere appreciation to Bay Academy for their generous donation of warm winter clothing for our students.

The Bay Academy students visited our centre to personally deliver the clothing, and we are truly grateful for their kindness and support. These donations will help keep our students warm during the cold winter months and remind them that their community cares about their wellbeing.

We are excited to be building a relationship with Bay Academy and look forward to working together in the future to make a positive impact in the lives of young people.
Thank you for your generosity and for investing in our youth.

EXAM PRAYER SESSION.

Yesterday, our students gathered for a special Exam Prayer Session as they prepare for their upcoming mid-term examinations.

Together, we prayed for wisdom, strength, focus, peace, and confidence. As our learners face this important season, we are reminded that success is not only about hard work but also about trusting God every step of the way.

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight." – Proverbs 3:5-6

To all our students: believe in yourselves, stay focused, work hard, and remember that you are never alone. We are proud of you and wish you all the best in your exams.

Thank you to everyone who joined us in prayer and encouragement. Together, we continue to support and uplift our young people as they pursue their dreams.

Creativity Performance at Nowars High School

What an incredible day of talent, learning, and storytelling through the arts.

Our SakhisizweYDP Creativity students proudly performed at Nowars High Academy, showcasing their amazing talents through Traditional Dance, Hip Hop Dance, Drama, Marimba, and a Whole Group Band performance for the Grade 8 & 9 learners.

The performances were centred around the powerful story of the 16 June 1976 Soweto Youth Uprising, reminding us of the courage, resilience, and sacrifices made by young people in the fight for education and freedom.

We are proud to announce that next term we will return to host performances for Grade 10 & 11 learners as we continue using creativity to educate, inspire, and empower young people.

Thank you to the Principal, teachers, and support staff of Nowars High Academy for warmly hosting us and supporting youth development through the arts.

Congratulations to all our students for your growth, confidence, and excellent stage performances. We are also grateful to our dedicated teachers and facilitators for their hard work and commitment in nurturing young talent.

Netball Team Day Out at Hout Bay Sports Field.

Today, our SakhisizweYDP netball team spent time at the Hout Bay Sports Field learning, growing, and having fun together.

As a new team to the sport, we divided ourselves into two teams and played a friendly netball game to better understand the different positions, rules, and teamwork needed on the court. It was a great opportunity to learn through playing and support one another as we grow.

Beyond the game, we also took time to set clear goals for our team, focusing on teamwork, discipline, improvement, and building a strong team spirit for the journey ahead.

Every great team starts somewhere, and today was a beautiful step forward.
