Institute for Social Concerns

Institute for Social Concerns WE’RE A NON-PROFIT ORGANISATION , COMMUNITY BASED ORGANISATION, WORKING WITH CHILDREN & ADULTS IN UNDERSERVED COMMUNITIES WITHIN THE HELDERBERG.

The Institute for Social Concerns (ISC) is a not-for-profit, community based organisation, working with children, youth and adults in underserved communities within the Helderberg and surrounding communities. ISC believes that every person, young and old has the potential to take ownership and charge of their lives, if they are equipped with the skills, values and attitude and given the support to

do so. For the ISC, an old Chinese proverb rings true:

“Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.”

Thus the ISC run a number of initiatives to facilitate and nurture this belief. These initiatives range from supporting community based feeding schemes to large scale projects such as youth development and leadership programmes. We welcome you to our home and invite you to join us in this exciting journey to realise a brighter future for all.
