Update: yippee it looks like this may well be sorted with a temp kennel hand well versed in dealing with powerbreeds and mixed breeds alike 👏🏻👏🏻
Daily routine
6am feed home rescues, pick up poo, hang a load
6:15 hit the traffic
7:15 collect Nomore
7:30 feed chickens, cats while running first load of washing, let top dogs out to potty and rotate
7:35 prep dog food, pick up and clean top kennels, prep meds for whoever is on whatever
7:45 feed 27 dogs, clean camps, water
8:00 prep farm animal feed, separate them all, feed all.
While doing the above, rotate inside dogs every 15 minutes
8:30 start rotating bottom dogs in play camp. Hang second load of washing, scrub top kennels inbetween, open for farm animals to go graze while filling their water.
8:45 wash all food and water bowls, shake out and or replace all dirty bedding, alternately rotating top and bottom dogs.
Midday feed pups, medicate whoever
Keep going from top to bottom so that all the dogs are constantly rotating and never left camped or kenneled.
Go to work.
3pm prep all feed - chicken, dog and farm animals.
3:15 start feeding top dogs, chickens and cats
3:30 start calling farm animals in for dinner
4pm let everyone out to potty, check water in every kennel, camp or paddock
5pm bring bottom dogs up for the night, keep rotating top and bottom dogs for potty.
5:15 let farm animals out to graze
5:30 drop Nomore
6pm decide what we're eating, go actually buy that and then cook it.
6:15 feed home rescues while cooking.
7pm eat for first time, start answering messages - usually around the 300 mark.
Inbetween all this attend to callouts, vetting, collections, donations, buying feed.
My point?
Nomore will be going to his family in Zim from 25 Oct till 5 Nov. I can do all this alone but it means not being able to leave the farm unattended - the dogs MUST constantly be monitored and rotated! Poo, water must be checked constantly and some dogs just cannot go out unattended.
Conundrum - if I don't work i don't earn. These earnings supplement the shelter needs and obviously my household.
I don't take a salary from Grace. I very occasionally take patrol and I buy my own data.
Either I desperately need someone who can stay at the farm between say 10am and 3pm to rotate and monitor top and bottom or I need to cover my earnings. I HAVE to bring in R5k a week.
So is their anyone prepared to back me, personally for those 2 weeks. Or fill my shoes at the farm 🙂 please?
