During a recent primary school visit, learners designed their own national parks, choosing a biome, tackling real challenges like drought, and learning how to protect the species that call it home.

Along the way, they were introduced to concepts like keystone species and endemic species, and learnt firsthand how much careful thinking conservation requires 🌍

At LiC, we teach kids bird identification skills, and something shifts. At first, a bird is just a bird. Then they start noticing the details, the colours, the beak, the shapes, and suddenly they’re spotting species everywhere. It’s a small skill with a big effect: they start paying attention to the nature around them every single day. 🦜🐦‍⬛🦚🦅

Because of you, we are able to keep running our Student Journey Cycle, taking learners from their very first conservation lesson all the way through to real internships and job opportunities.

Every ticket helped fund lessons, excursions, immersive experiences and training for the next generation of conservationists. You didn’t just support a raffle, you supported a whole journey of growth, skill building and career opportunity for these students.
