Cheryl Lyn's Rescue Organisation Please donate towards vet bills & food! Cheryl-Lyn eventually won the dog's trust and was able to rescue, medically treat and rehabilitate her.

Our aim is to rescue, rehabilitate, re-home and provide the best care possible for neglected & abused animals, bringing them back to health, both mentally physically. Our journey starts with an abused, neglected and lost mixed breed stray female dog, living in the bushes near Melkbosstrand, which nobody could manage to get near enough, to assist her. In an attempt to gain the dog's trust and then

rescue it, Cheryl-Lyn Potgieter lived in the bushes, on her own, for 3 months, putting out food and water each day. That scared, neglected and abused dog was renamed Daisy and now spends her days helping Cheryl-Lyn taking care of the rescued newcomers until they are strong enough to be re homed.

Today I had a long day rescuing. Firstly taking 2 dogs to Village Vet, Atlantis to get 2 dogs sterilised then rushing back to Atlantis for an injured cat mauled by a dog then back to Village Vet to asssist the injured cat. There after rushing to Table View to assist another dog and still to rushing to collect donations. I also drove past a dog in Atlantis that looked a in an appauling condition and I asked Yvonna Hertog to keep an eye out for this pitbull. I explained where the dog was and she got her little guys from Atlantis to search for her and hole and below they found the dog and Yvonna called me and they brought the dog to the farm for safe keeping and will get her to the vet in the morning. These little guys do amazing work in the Settlements.

Days like this are exhausting, but this is rescue life. One emergency after another.

A huge thank you to the 3 donors who contributed toward the vet accounts at Village Vet and Vet-Clin.

Your support helps cover sterilisation, emergency treatment, and vet checks for sick animals. The bills never stop, but neither does the need.
