Last week 153 children in our programmes went to the Masque Theatre in Muizenberg to enjoy performances by Jungle Theatre Company and a yummy lunch. Opportunities like these expose our children to art and drama, teach them to listen to stories and capture imagination. It’s also fun to explore Cape Town and travel by bus!

Thanks to Golden Arrow Busservices, HCI Foundation and Jungle Theatre Company for making this day a memorable one for the children of Khayelitsha.

As we celebrate Heritage Day today, we’re building our future leaders by creating learning and growth experiences.

Let's add our voices to this important conversation!

👶 Help shape the future of Cape Town’s Early Childhood Development (ECD) sector.

The City will host four Regional ECD Conversations in October, bringing together ECD practitioners, principals, NGOs, government departments and sector partners to discuss regional challenges, identify solutions and help shape the City’s priorities for the sector.

📍 Parow Civic Centre – 8 October
📍 Brackenfell Civic Centre – 12 October
📍 Sarepta Hall – 21 October
📍 Retreat Civic Centre – 27 October
🕐 08:30–15:30

The recommendations from these engagements will feed into the City-wide ECD action plan at the 2027 ECD Indaba.

More details will be shared on the City’s social media pages.
