Parent and caregiver cluster workshops took place this week, teaching about hygiene In all the various community sites across Khayelitsha. Immunizations were also included in our Site C groups. Thank you to our team and a shout out to all our committed families 🤩

Starting Monday with a smile! Thank you Book Dash for 6250 story books which we’ll be sharing with Khayelitsha’s ECD Practitioners.
The books will reach 32 ECD Centres, and for 1250 children, each child will receive 5 story books.

Big thank you to City of Cape Town Health, Community Development, Environmental Health, and Emthonjeni Counselling Center for an insightful awareness session with our Sikhula Sonke team on Hepatitis and Mental Health.

287 children from our outreach programmes in the informal settlements attended an educational excursion Two Oceans Aquarium to learn about our seas and marine life. Thanks to HCI Foundation and Verre Naasten for making this day a memorable one for our children. We were transported by Golden Arrow Bus Services. There were lots of big eyes as children discovered more about sharks, penguins, reef life and more. Who knows which child might become an oceanographer one day!!

Over 300 members of Church Ville, Vosho, Taliban and Kuvukiland Harare informal settlements had the privilege of being visited by our SISO workers in partnership with Riza Mobile Clinic where they had a chance to do HIV Tests and check for high blood pressure. They also received gifts from FForAfrika This was part of the 67 minutes of Mandela Day. Thanks to all parties involved for making this day a great success!!

Congratulations to our parents who have just completed 4 days of Positive Parenting facilitated by Families South Africa - FAMSA. All 32 parents were so dedicated and committed to the training and received certificates.
