Unemployed residents, graduates, jobseekers and young people looking for work, skills and support are encouraged to attend.

Today, the 790 Youth Rec Club successfully hosted the Hout Bay Youth Dialogue on Unemployment and Opportunity at Hout Bay High School.

More than 300 people came out to access information and register on opportunity platforms, including the City of Cape Town Jobseeker Database, Harambee Youth Employment Accelerator, SA Youth, National Youth Development Agency opportunities and IEC voter registration.

Today proved that our people want to work. They need access, information and real opportunities.

Thank you to all partners and stakeholders who supported this programme.

We call on government and Hout Bay businesses to create opportunities and prioritise local employment.

790 Youth Rec Club is pleased to confirm that the City of Cape Town EPWP Jobseeker Drive Team will be attending the Hout Bay Youth Dialogue on Unemployment and Opportunity.

The team will assist young people with registering on the EPWP Jobseeker Database and updating their details so they can be considered for future job opportunities.

Young people of Hout Bay, this programme is for you.

The 790 Youth Rec Club invites unemployed youth, graduates, jobseekers and young people looking for opportunities to attend the Hout Bay Youth Dialogue on Unemployment and Opportunity.

📍 Venue: Hout Bay High School Hall
📅 Date: Monday, 13 July 2026
📝 Registration: 9:00 AM
⏰ Programme: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM

This programme will connect young people to employment platforms, youth development partners and support services. Confirmed partners include NYDA, Harambee and the IEC, with more stakeholders expected.

Young people will be assisted with access to opportunity platforms, registration support, information on available programmes, and guidance on how to better position themselves for employment and development opportunities.

Appeal for Financial Support: 790 Youth Recreation Club

Help Us Shape Young Soccer Stars!

We are thrilled to announce that three talented young soccer players from Hout Bay have been selected to attend a prestigious soccer camp in Johannesburg from the 9th to the 12th of August.

This incredible opportunity will see them train under professional coaches and potentially earn a spot to compete against South African football giants, Kaizer Chiefs, Orlando Pirates, and SuperSport United from the 12th to the 16th of August.

Imagine the thrill of seeing these young athletes shine on the same field as their idols! This experience could be a life-changing opportunity, fostering their skills, confidence, and passion for the beautiful game.

However, we need your help to make this dream a reality. The cost of sending these young stars to Johannesburg covers travel, accommodation, meals, and camp fees, totaling R21 000. *We still need R10 500*
