So incredibly proud of alumna Daniella Moore not *only for her academic prowess and perseverance but for her commitment to jewish leadership and involvement- during undergrad almost never missing a lunch n learn or Jewish event. Always volunteering to help organise what was back then the beginnings of the stellies Jewish student community

𝗙𝗼𝗿 𝗗𝗿 𝗗𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗮 𝗠𝗼𝗼𝗿𝗲, 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗣𝗵𝗗 𝗶𝗻 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗰𝘀 𝗮𝘁 𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗯𝗼𝘀𝗰𝗵 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗯𝗲𝗰𝗮𝗺𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝗮𝗻 𝗮𝗰𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗰 𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗲 – 𝗶𝘁 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗮 𝗱𝗲𝗲𝗽𝗹𝘆 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝘁𝗿𝗶𝘂𝗺𝗽𝗵.💛

In the final stretch of her doctorate, she lost her father suddenly. Grief brought everything to a standstill, and finishing her degree felt almost impossible.

But through the support of family, friends and mentors – and the memory of her father’s belief in her – she found the strength to continue.

“My dad always believed in me and was proud of me.”

Her journey is a testament to resilience, love and carrying forward the legacy of those who shaped us.

WELCOME BRAAI 2026 | This past Sunday we launched our programs. Jewish students new and old got together to meet & mingle at the Chabad House. Friends were made, fun was had and most importantly WELCOME TO THE FAMILY!

WelcomeFest UCT was a great success! We welcomed so many new IKEYids from all over the country, did lots of mitzvah’s and even hosted the Vice Chancellor for a brief moment.
