It was an honour to engage with the Regional Director for Southern and East Africa during their recent visit. The meeting created an important space to highlight the role of refugee-led organisations in supporting displaced communities and advocating for greater access to livelihoods, professional opportunities, and skills development.

A special moment of the visit was the time spent at Umoja Skills Development Center (Umoja for Africa), where impactful work continues to empower refugees and vulnerable communities through training and skills development.

We also highlighted the leadership and resilience of refugee women who continue to drive change despite many challenges.

Grateful for the opportunity to share our voices and strengthen collaboration for more inclusive and sustainable solutions.
