LEMOSA FOOTBALL ACADEMY DECIDES OTHERWISE ON THE FUTURE OF IT'S CHAIRMANβ οΈ!
Wednesday, 09 February 2022
Last night the LEMOSA Football Academy (LFA) hosted a "Special Executive Meeting" to decide the fate and future of it's chairman - Mr. Asavela Peko.
As per our investigation and performance assessment we have terminated chairman's involvement with the academy on mutual agreement terms.
"Unfortunately, as the academy we had instituted an investigation on our expulsion with the Mitchell's Plain Local Football Association and felt that it was not directed to us, but the chairman and that costed us a good relationship," said the Secretary - Masivuye Cokile.
It is regrettable having to excuse such a good administrator, however, we have found that he violated some of the policies we uphold, and have gone to attack the President, and executive of SAFA Cape Town at our expense.
He added, "Our investigation found the former member to be in contravention of SAFA Cape Town statutes and brought the region into disrepute, unfortunately, we cannot take a fall for him we have to consider the future of our academy and the boys."
Last season our boys went on without any LFA competition due to the political complications and obsession of the outgoing chairman, and that caused us a setback that we had to decide, and we've decided, and he - Asavela understands.
"I understand, and when we started this academy it was to pursue development for it, and it's beneficiaries, therefore, it's been dragged unnecessarily to my politics around amateur football, therefore, I am resigning with immediate effect as of now," on his first remarks on a virtual meeting said the outgoing chairman - Asavela Peko.
It's not a decision we have taken lightly, and as such we as the board have decided to ban Mr. Peko on our academy's involvement for a period of 5 years.
He - Peko concluded, "I thought I was starting a game changer here, not a 'yes baas' foundation but it's okay, I accept your decision and aim to serve my term on the benches of other clubs with a backbone and will."
We so wish to acknowledge the public of our expulsion and banning of Mr. Asavela Peko from the LEMOSA Football Academy.
Until our AGM later on the year, Mr. Aviwe Matebese will be acting as a "Chairman" until such time we shall elected a new structure.
Therefore, we will write a letter to SAFA Cape Town and Mitchell's Plain Local Football Association apologising for the man's misconducts to the two.
And further so, apply for affiliation to a suitable LFA to our capacity.
We wish Mr. Peko all of the best in his future endeavors attains, and we thank him for growing this academy and ensuring that we are a giant of a structure through his wisdom.
ENDS!
