Why do some believers remain stuck despite genuine faith, fervent prayer and sound theology? Why do spiritually mature people struggle with anxiety, burnout and relational patterns that seem immune to discipleship?
There is a gap in the Church today. Not a gap in biblical truth or theological depth, but a gap in understanding how trauma impacts spirit, soul and body. We cannot fully shepherd others into freedom while remaining unaware of how our own unhealed wounds shape our leadership and the culture of the communities we build.
Across four weeks, Tammy Bruni leads pastors, elders and ministry leaders through the Take Up Your Space framework: biblical truth integrated with trauma-informed neuroscience, and practical tools for leading from embodied safety and healed identity.
What to expect:
Week 1 - SEE: The Gap We Do Not Name. Why good theology alone doesn't always bring healing. What your nervous system is doing while you preach. Jesus as the original trauma-informed leader.
Week 2 - RECOGNISE: The Place We Lead From. How attachment shapes our image of God. The four survival responses in ministry and the fawn response that looks like godliness.
Week 3 - HEAL: The Self We Bring. Identity, boundaries and the false self. When calling is actually coping. The biblical order of healing.
Week 4 - BUILD: The Culture We Build. Creating churches where real healing happens, and building a ministry that lasts a lifetime.
Each session combines teaching, practical tools, and small-group reflection.
