ikh A. The primary objective of the IUC is to unite all Muslim organizations under one umbrella body. By doing this we can co-ordinate our efforts and speak with one voice on all issues affecting the more than one million Muslims in South Africa and also inter-relate with approximately 450 million Muslims in the rest of Africa. After 345 years of Muslim communities in SA the IUC is the only body that has invited all the Muslim organizations to democratically elect their representatives and to be accountable to their communities. There is no justifications in the Quran or the Sunnah and Ahadith for disunity amongst Muslims.Therefore, all of us, individually and collectively are responsible for our unity. No one is exempted.
