Urban Mosaic Project The Urban Mosaic Project aims to help prevent the spread of shack fires in the townships using a strategically applied fire retardant coating.

The Urban Mosaic project concept utilizes fire retardant paint to not only add vibrant colour to shacks but more importantly deal with fire prevention in the townships. By utilizing the roofs as colorful 'pixels' the Urban Mosaic Project comes alive by creating massive land art visible from the air.
