Bold Girls, Bold Choices, Smart Futures!

The Bold Girls Conversations Summit, which held in Cameroon on 7th December 2025, was another opportunity for us to support community actions that speak to girls' empowerment and the drive towards gender equality.

Our regional communications and social media coordinator,Nkengafack Eucharia represented us during this summit in moderating a session on economic empowerment. The panelists, which comprised girls and young women, shared their lived experiences on navigating their career paths alongside other intersectionalities like societal expectations, education, motherhood, and personal ambitions.

Key takeaways from the summit:
âś…Be confident and stay focused.
âś… Build your skills and define what success means to you.
âś… Resist societal expectations and always know that you are enough.
âś…Financial independence is very essential for your growth and development. Break free from the shackles of unpaid care work.

This summit is convened every year since 2022 by the Association of Adolescent Girls and Young Women Cameroon . It seeks to embolden adolescent girls and young women and help them imagine a world where they can be the best versions of themselves.

Happy International Human Rights Day

Today reminds us there are no human rights without gender justice.
Achieving justice starts with accountability.
Every individual, organisation, and institution has a role to play in challenging gender-based violence, protecting rights, and ensuring that those who perpetrate abuse are held responsible.

Justice isn’t optional. It’s essential.

Breaking stereotypes starts with understanding the reality of gender-based violence.
GBV doesn’t have one face, one gender, or one story. It affects people across all communities from workplaces, homes, and public spaces.

Every day is an opportunity to act, support survivors, and break the cycle of violence. Awareness is the first step toward meaningful change.
