From exploring science at the Cape Town Science Centre to learning about menstrual health and human rights, our iNtsika & Mbokodo Heroes continue to grow, learn, and lead ❤️✨

💗 The Mbokodo Program is a program for girl survivors of GBV, as well as girls exposed to GBV, where we offer empowerment workshops, mental health care and self-defence programs.

✨ The iNtsika yeThemba program aims to end Gender-Based Violence by equipping a generation of positive role models, who challenge toxic masculinity, and promote equal rights for all.

Yesterday, our JDA staff proudly commemorated Youth Day at Our Lady Help of Christians Parish in Lansdowne by participating in their Youth Day Mass celebration. During the event, we had the opportunity to engage with the youth, educating them about our programmes, the importance of Human Rights, and our overall mission.

We also focused on empowering young people to understand their role in shaping the future, especially within the context of Youth Day. It was an inspiring and meaningful engagement that highlighted the value of youth participation and awareness in building a more just and inclusive society.

Happy Youth Day🙌🏾✨

Today we honour the courage of the students of 1976, whose voices rose against injustice during the Soweto Uprising. Their bravery reminds us that young people are not just the future, they are the present, shaping South Africa every day.

At Justice Desk Africa, we celebrate Youth Day to remember their sacrifice, to uplift today’s youth, and to call on all of us to continue building a society rooted in justice, equality, and hope.

The fight for freedom was led by young voices, and it is young voices that will carry us forward.
