12 sessions in and the growth has been truly inspiring! Watching our iNtsika and Mbokodo Heroes develop their understanding of rights, respect, leadership, and community change has been a rewarding experience. We are proud of how far they have come and excited to see the impact they will continue to make in their communities.

70 years since the Women’s March of 1956, yet GBVF statistics remind us that progress without safety is not progress. This Women’s Month, we celebrate resilience, but we also demand change.

“Wathint’ Abafazi, Wathint’ Imbokodo” — You strike a woman, you strike a rock.

On 9 August 1956, 20,000 women marched to the Union Buildings in Pretoria, led by Lilian Ngoyi, Helen Joseph, Rahima Moosa, and Sophia Williams‑De Bruyn, to resist apartheid pass laws. Their courage reshaped South Africa’s history and gave us Women’s Day.

Today, we honour their legacy, celebrate women’s achievements, and remind ourselves that empowered women empower the nation. 💪🌍
